Our new partner is experimenting with 5G to monitor and eradicate undesired airborne insects in the greenhouse. Their innovative solution is based on infrared camera technology, providing real-time tracking of the populations.

5G allows this Delft based startup to expand the current system’s features. Starting at the AgriFood Greenhouse located at RoboHouse, PATS will first investigate the relevant aspects of 5G technology. Subsequently, they will conduct tests in a fully operational greenhouse at Tomatoworld.
The agricultural sector will benefit from this solution by reducing crop damages and minimising the use of chemical pest control products.
