During an inspiring knowledge session about the smart bicycle path on TU Delft Campus, we share our insights on data, we explained how 5G contributes to communication between sensor systems through a wireless network. DoIoT programme manager Lenneke de Voogd:

“This project is not only a test case for the operation of various sensors, but it is also an important test case for the digital communication technology, for sending and processing all the data. We expect that 5G will offer important benefits for the operation of the intelligent bicycle path, in particular the possibility to connect a large number of sensors, with a very high reliability. The research is relevant for future policy development, for scaling up the intelligent mobility solutions to wider application in the city.”
