The Province of Zuid-Holland, in collaboration with ERDF (the European Regional Development Fund), is making €500,000 available to companies developing new innovations based on 5G technology. By means of a funding scheme, the expertise and facilities of Do IoT Fieldlab will be made easily accessible to innovative entrepreneurs.

During the information session on 11th of May at 10:00 am, we will explain how you can apply for a grant. Speakers include Dr. Kim Larsen (T-Mobile Netherlands), Pascal Heijnen (TNO), Lenneke de Voogd-Claessen (TU Delft) and Grisjo Koers (Province of Zuid-Holland).

Acceleration of innovations in the field of 5G and Internet of Things

The arrival of 5G will enable all kinds of industrial and social innovations. Think of drones that fly independently through a warehouse and constantly check supplies, or doctors who remotely assist ambulance personnel on their way to the hospital, or engineers who control an inspection robot in a factory at a safe distance from another location.

This will not happen automatically: companies will have to work in different ways, together with their suppliers who will need to develop and test the new solutions with 5G technology. With this funding scheme we aim to help companies to take this step.
