New project: Telegreen

Within the Telegreen project, remote robot control is explored to reshape greenhouse horticulture for the better.

The holiday season is over for many of us, including for this fellow. It’s time to get to work! No more taking it easy for him now that company Look-E is collaborating Do IoT Fieldlab, TNO and MCS Benelux for a new project: Telegreen. By allowing operators to control robots from a distance to pick tomatoes, 5G technology has the potential to make day-to-day work more flexible and efficient. It could open the door to wider workforce participation, and offer opportunities for those unable to work on-site. In short: humanoids take on the heavy, delicate, repetitive tasks, while 5G ensures instant, reliable communication between all systems.
