Experience 6G and teleoperation during the Digitalization Week
How can you start innovating today with the wireless technology of tomorrow? Find out during the Accelerating Innovation with 6G: from Testbed to Application event on 23 September from 15:00 to 17:00. Do IoT Fieldlab is organising this free, hybrid knowledge and networking event together with Future Network Services (FNS) and the Dutch Authority for Digital Infrastructure (RDI), as part of Digitalization Week.
Experience 6G in practice
Join us in Amersfoort or participate online and discover how the FNS National 6G Testbed can help your organisation safely develop and test innovative applications in realistic experimentation environments. 6G is not yet commercially available, but the technology of tomorrow can already be explored and tested today. This is possible at several experimental facilities that are part of the FNS National 6G Testbed, including Do IoT Fieldlab in Delft and the RDI fieldlab in Amersfoort. The testbed contributes to the ambition of positioning the Netherlands as a frontrunner in 6G innovation.
During the event, you will get an inside look at the FNS National 6G Testbed and discover which facilities, expertise and funding opportunities are available to bring your ideas into practice.
Experience live teleoperation
Experience what future 6G technology could enable for remote operations during an interactive live demonstration. Think, for example, of offshore maintenance, where employees can operate machines or robots remotely without having to travel to locations that are difficult to access or pose safety risks.
During the demonstration, a robot located at Do IoT Fieldlab in Delft will be remotely controlled live from Amersfoort. See how advanced wireless connectivity enables remote operations and discover the network requirements needed for future teleoperation applications.
The event will conclude with a networking reception.
In the video, our colleague Kees Kroep, technical expert at Do IoT Fieldlab, explains why our new Beyond 5G installation SAM XL, part of the Future Network Services National 6G Testbed, is special and what the eventual goal is.
If you, as an organisation, want to bring a 6G application to market, a successful technical test is valuable. But as a startup or SME, you ultimately want to know how this moves your business forward.
This week, Do IoT Fieldlab, Future Network Services (FNS) and ICCS are in Barcelona to attend the Mobile World Congress: the world’s largest event for the connectivity industry! The theme for 2026: The IQ Era.
Remote maintenance inspections cannot always be carried out yet. However, the technologies to make it possible are already available. Combined, robotics, teleoperation, AI, and 5G promise greater productivity, and cost efficiency. But what is realistically achievable for your business today?
