€900,000 for Cyber-Secure Energy Hubs in South Holland

Our energy system is digitising at a rapid pace. How do we keep this system secure now that digital attacks pose a serious risk?

€900,000 for Cyber-Secure Energy Hubs in South Holland

The ‘Cyber-Secure Energy Hubs’ project has been granted more than €900,000 in ‘Kansen voor West’ funding to improve the digital security of our energy system as a result of the energy transition. Within the project, we are collaborating with SMEs and two other field labs from South Holland on a digitally resilient energy system.

The focus is on energy hubs: local collaborations in which companies and organisations intelligently coordinate energy generation, consumption, and storage. By organising smart technology and digitization within energy hubs, we can contribute to accelerating the energy transition.

This project is affiliated with the Innovation Coalition for a Cybersecure Energy Transition and is made possible by the “Kansen voor West” program (aimed at promoting the competitiveness of the Dutch West region) and the European Union.
